ABOUT

Dr Debbie Ford

Founder

Director of Psychology

​

Dr Debbie Ford is an experienced, approachable and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with a 20 year career in the NHS.  She is appropriately registered and regulated by the Health Care Professionals Council (Practitioner Psychologist, HCPC no: PYL24110) and a registered Chartered Psychologist, with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

 

Having run her private practice, alongside her NHS career, for over a decade, Debbie has a proven track record of providing clinical services for individuals, families, teams and organisations across many sectors.​  She has a special interest in clinical health psychology and healthcare related trauma, for Paediatrics patients, Adults and Healthcare Professionals. 

 

Debbie has held senior professional, clinical and operational NHS clinical posts.  Most recently occupying the Trust Head of Occupational Health Psychology role, for a large London NHS Trust. Overseeing the wellbeing of over 26,000 NHS staff. She has worked at Consultant grade, in high pressure NHS clinical and corporate teams, with sensitivity and compassion. Her Consultant grade role, also led the specialist delivery of psychological support to Adult/paediatric ICU, Cardiac and Respiratory NHS staff.

Debbie is an accomplished speaker, lecturer and trainer. She has held lecturing roles at University College London, University of Hertfordshire and Brunel University. She has also taught and trained staff across the NHS, Charity, and Corporate sector. â€‹

​

Debbie appeared on ITV, in the Award Winning 'Finding Derek', with Kate Garraway, talking about Intensive Care psychology, loss and hope. She has also featured in The Independent, providing high quality and regulated input into TV and media.
